Set amidst some of the finest Highland scenery, adjacent to Ariundle Oakwood Forest, this detached, stone, holiday barn conversion has been sympathetically renovated to maintain the distinctive charm and external features of this 200 year old stables.
It is enhanced by ground source underfloor heating on both floors, with solid oak or tiled floors in all communal areas.
The property has four bedrooms, three of which are on the ground floor, and two of which have en-suite bathrooms.
The ivory painted bespoke oak kitchen is on the first floor, as is the utility room, lounge and living/dining room which has access to a large, west facing balcony, and the master bedroom.
The gardens extend to 1½ acres, private woodlands are another 5 acres, with mountain views and a small burn running through. Red deer are often seen in the grounds, wildcats live nearby, and buzzards and ravens are frequent visitors.
Just three miles from Loch Sunart, the area is beautifully quiet and serene, and Ariundle Oakwood Forest is a National Nature Reserve. The owners offer mountain walking/guides in Glencoe, Mamores, Nevis and Ardnamurchan Ranges, hind stalking, fly fishing and camera stalking on nearby estates. Shops, pub and restaurant 3 miles.
Strontian is a small village with a couple of pubs and shops, accessible from the 5 minute ferry crossing at Nether Lochaber 10 minutes south of Fort William. Bellsgrove is located 3 miles away in the hills above Strontian in an incredibly peaceful location. It has stunning panoramic views towards Loch Sunart and is an ideal base for touring the Ardnamurchan Peninsula and Lochaber. Hill-walking, mountain biking, bird-watching and fishing are all on the doorstep.
